PORON® cellular urethanes are engineered, medium density microcellular (cells are roughly 100 microns in diameter) foam materials. They are used in orthopedic and prosthetic applications, including custom orthotics, prefabricated orthotics, prosthetic padding and other biomechanical supports.

Explaining 1AB/2AB/UAB Finishes

During the process of producing polyurethane a non-porous, unabraded "skin" forms which is resistant to adhesives. An abraded surface is much more effective when desiring a bond with another material. Depending upon your needs, Acor can provide you with Unabraded (UAB), Single Abraded (1AB) or Double Abraded (2AB) surfaces on your polyurethane. Scrim covering adds strength and makes it easier to bond to other materials.
